The LIBER Annual Conference Fund supports participants from specific European countries each year, on the basis of need and taking into account the location of Annual Conferences. The countries are decided by the LIBER Executive Board annually at its October meeting. Please note that the Fund is limited to libraries that are current members of LIBER.
For 2011, participants from libraries in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine may apply to the Annual Conference Fund by submitting an abstract of a paper or a poster by 7 February 2011.
The Programme Committee will select 10 submitted abstracts from these countries on basis of the following criteria:
• Relevance to the Call for Papers
• Originality
• Level of innovation
• Impact on the wider library community
• Quality of the abstract
Recipients of the Fund Awards will be notified by 30 March 2011. See Important dates.
Successful participants will receive free registration to the Barcelona 2011 Annual Conference and a grant of €300 towards the cost of attending the Conference (travel, accommodation, etc.). Please note that grant holders should register as LIBER Guests on the Conference website, and that the grant of €300 will be paid to each grant holder on the second day of the Conference at the LIBER Desk on condition that he/she can demonstrate that he/she has been attending the Annual Conference in person.
